Waiting for the end of `Iddah after the death of someone's wife before marrying her sister
Q 2: Is `Iddah (prescribed waiting period after divorce or widowhood) required for a man who wants to marry the sister of his deceased wife? Please give me your Fatwa regarding this issue.
A: The man who wants to marry the sister of his deceased wife is not required to observe `Iddah. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
